QDB Editions + Théo Charasse | Amber vertical suspension

The vertical suspension from the CYL collection is a unique piece born from the meeting between the artisanal know-how of QDB Éditions and the creativity of designer Théo Charasse.
It is made up of glass cylinders from beer bottles cut and shaped in the workshop, combined with plexiglass plates and an LED tube diffusing a soft, warm light.

QDB EDITIONS + THEO CHARASSE

At the beginning, there was the glass bottle. Shaped into tableware and decorative objects at QDB Editions, sketched into lighting by Théo Charasse from 2023.

Both committed to creating beauty from what we take for granted, the brand and the designer collaborate and together sign a first edition collection.

In the QDB Editions workshop, the duo's initial intentions give way to the first experiments. The bottle is cut into cylinders that are superimposed and the natural constraints of the material are confronted to better push them back. The excitement is palpable; reinterpreting glass to better sublimate it is, after all, what initiated the meeting between QDB Editions and Théo Charasse.

From this first edition was born a series of creations, consisting of a table lamp (3 sizes, 3 colors), a floor lamp (3 sizes, 3 colors) and a vertical (3 sizes, 3 colors) and horizontal (3 sizes, 3 colors) suspension.

To be displayed alone or in a mix & match, each creation marks the meeting of two bells - one shaped from the shoulder of a bottle, the other sandblasted from that of a magnum.
