The floor lamp from the CYL collection is a creation born from the encounter between the artisanal know-how of QDB Éditions and the creativity of designer Théo Charasse. It is composed of glass cylinders from magnums cut and shaped in the workshop, combined with plexiglass plates and an LED tube diffusing a soft and warm light. Equipped with a transparent cable as well as a switch to adjust the light intensity.

At the beginning, there was the glass bottle. Shaped into tableware and decorative objects at QDB Editions, sketched into lighting by Théo Charasse from 2023.
Both committed to creating beauty from what is taken for granted, the brand and the designer collaborate and together create a first edition collection. In the QDB Editions workshop, the duo's initial intentions give way to the first experiments.
The bottle is cut into cylinders which are superimposed and the natural constraints of the material are confronted to better push them back.
The excitement is palpable; reinterpreting glass to better enhance it is, after all, what initiated the meeting between QDB Editions and Théo Charasse.

La collaboration
À l'origine, il y a la bouteille en verre : façonnée en objets chez QDB Editions, esquissée en luminaires par Théo Charasse. Tous deux attachés à créer du beau à partir de ce que l'on considère acquis, la marque et le designer signent CYL, une collection de luminaires.
Dans l'atelier, les intentions du tandem laissent place aux expérimentations. On coupe la bouteille en cylindres que l'on superpose et on se confronte aux contraintes naturelles de la matière pour mieux les repousser. L'ébullition est palpable ; réinterpréter le verre pour mieux le sublimer, c'est ce qui a initié la rencontre entre QDB Editions et Théo Charasse.

L’atelier de QDB Editions a élu domicile au Touquet-Paris-Plage, dans le Nord de France. Sur place, les artisans-verriers perpétuent le savoir-faire du verre et façonnent, coupent, percent, sablent et assemblent la matière avec précision. Notre qualité de fabricant nous permet de centraliser l’ensemble de la production ; chez nous, les stocks sont maîtrisés et les transports entre usines n’existent pas.
